Hello!  My name is Dr Michel Tany, licensed clinical psychologist with more than 15 years of professional experience, including 7 years of study in various University and clinical internships in France.  I have worked with individuals of all age groups, including children, teens, adults, families, couples, and parents. I commonly help people overcome things like anxiety, depression, sleeping difficulties, concentration problems, bullying, low self-esteem, family conflict, marital discord, parenting skills, addictions, etc.

I worked in many different cultural environments, starting with my home country Lebanon, then France where I completed my studies, and now Canada, the country I choose to settle down with my family.  These experiences have contributed to my flexibility with different psychotherapy approaches.  Clinically-speaking, this translates into a greater flexibility when choosing the right intervention and evidence-based techniques (cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, systemic) to increase the chances of success in therapy.  All my interventions are based upon scientifically-validated research findings, whether I work with children, adolescents, or adults.

During therapy, I create a warm and inviting atmosphere based on trust, empathy, and compassion,  and use clinical expertise to help guide my client through the therapeutic process, and towards their goals.
