Illness turns your life upside down, and the lives of those close to you. In the face of this ordeal, I offer you a safe and warm space where I can support you and ease your psychological distress.

Together, we will make room for the shock of the diagnosis, work through the loss of your former health and learn to live with the fear of recurrence. My goal is to support you step by step in easing anxiety, waves of discouragement and the discomfort of treatment. Together, we will work on redefining your values so you can regain hope and a sense of control over your life, despite the unpredictability of the future.

After 15 years in hospital psychiatric services, I devoted 25 years of my career to health psychology, specializing in psychosocial oncology. I had the privilege of being the first clinical coordinator (2008 to 2016) of the Louise Granofsky Psychosocial Oncology Program at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal.

My career combines rigorous clinical practice, clinical supervision, and an active contribution to research and to practical and scientific publications. On the academic side, I was a part-time Assistant Professor (Professional) in the Gerald Bronfman Department of Oncology, Faculty of Medicine, McGill University, until September 2019. In 2020, I was also appointed part-time Assistant Professor (Professional) in the Department of Family Medicine at McGill University. My expertise therefore lies at the crossroads of teaching, research and hands-on care.

I offer people affected by illness, and their caregivers, specialized support based on an integrative, personalized psychotherapy approach, fully adapted to your situation. This support includes an existential dimension aligned with your values and adapts scientifically validated methods to each person’s needs, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and brief psychodynamic psychotherapy.

Illness turns your life upside down and affects those close to you, but don’t let it define you. I invite you to find, in the present, what reminds you that life goes on beyond the diagnosis.
