My Areas of Expertise
I Can Also Help With
Hi, my name is Noémie Yacola, and I recently graduated with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (D.Psy) from the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi, where I also completed my bachelor’s degree in psychology.
Last year, I completed my internship as a psychologist-in-training at the Bagotville Military Base, working with military personnel. This experience allowed me to further develop my skills in diagnostic psychological assessment, evaluations of psychological functioning, and therapy for various issues. The assessments and treatments I conducted addressed concerns such as personality disorders, relationship difficulties, post-traumatic stress disorder, anxiety disorders like panic disorder, sleep disorders, depression, chronic pain, and more. Prior to this, I completed two years of internships at the university’s psychology clinic.
Throughout these years of internships and my internship at Bagotville, I received training in various recognized therapies, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, mentalization-based therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, humanistic therapy, psychodynamic therapy, and acceptance and commitment therapy.
I use an integrative psychotherapeutic approach that incorporates elements from these different therapies to adapt to my clients’ unique needs and individuality.
At the Blake Psychology Clinic, I offer virtual assessment and individual therapy services to adults of all ages.
My goal is to develop an authentic, compassionate, and strong therapeutic relationship with my clients, helping them progress at their own pace toward what is meaningful to them, ultimately achieving their goals and enhancing their well-being.
