Dr Olivia Faulconbridge, PhD

Psychologist

Licensed Psychologist with the Order of Psychologists of Quebec, OPQ# 14814-23

I am a registered psychologist with the Ordre des Psychologues du Quebec. I have a PhD in School and Applied Child Psychology from Western University, a Master’s degree in Child Studies, and a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Concordia University.

With over ten years of experience, I have worked with children, adolescents, and their families across various settings, including private practice, schools, and community mental health agencies. I completed my clinical practica at the Child and Youth Development Clinic, the Mary J. Wright Center for Research and Education at Western University, the Thames Valley District School Board, and the Child and Parent Resource Institute in Ontario. Throughout my graduate studies, my research focused on peer relationships and forgiveness in children, adolescents, and adolescents with intellectual disabilities.

I have expertise in conducting psychological and psychoeducational assessments and making evidence-based recommendations for neurodevelopmental disorders such as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning disabilities (reading, writing, mathematics), and intellectual disabilities, as well as emotional, behavioral, and mental health problems in children and adolescents.

I provide therapy to children and adolescents struggling with a wide range of challenges, including anxiety, depression, executive functioning difficulties, emotional regulation difficulties, ADHD, ASD, trauma, and social and behavioral difficulties. I also offer parenting support, including collaborative problem-solving and emotion coaching, to parents of children and adolescents. These strategies can help parents support their children with mental health, behavioral, and social issues.

I believe in a strengths-based, collaborative approach to working with children, adolescents, and their families. I have training in evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including brief solution-focused therapy, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and compassion-focused therapy (CFT).

Additionally, I integrate mindfulness, ACT, and DBT into my work with clients. I strongly believe in setting therapeutic goals in collaboration with each client and their family to support their needs and ensure therapy benefits each child, adolescent, and/or family. I value the importance of relationships in the therapeutic process and within the family.
